Here is something for the DIY stick refurbisher!

The outer plastic component is a refurbished N64 OEM part and the inner bowl is made from solid stainless steel, hardened to 55+HRC and highly polished.

They are compatible with the standard N64 joystick components and should provide some durability benefits when installed in an otherwise completely OEM joystick.

(Compatible with OEM N64 joystick modules, Kitsch-Bent aftermarket joystick parts etc: No modification needed to install.)

  • Includes Small Tube of Superlube (Silicone/PTFE Grease)

These are mostly complete, the heavy lifting has been done and all going well they should ship out well before June.  Just calling it a Pre-order so everyone knows there will be a bit of wait on these.

Limit is 2x per customer. If you need more or don’t want to wait I have a batch of B-grade Bowls ready to go.

    Absolutely amazing! The joystick now feel extremely smooth and even after hard usage, hasn’t worn one bit! You only need a tiny amount of lube and after that, it stays smooth for ages! I can’t reccomend these enough and when they’re in stock, advise you to grab them!

    I have always loved the N64. The joystick was always it’s Achilles’ heel. After playing with both A grade and B grade Steelbowl, The feel it actually a lot better than how I remember a new N64 controller brand new. That is a huge improvement. I have shown my controller to the local retro store and they was clearly impressed with the SteelStick 64 solution. I do not yet have all the parts to fully customize my controllers. With a good OEM joystick and a SteelStick 64 SteelBowl, your control will be vastly improved. If you have the money, your patience will be rewarded once your order is delivered. Keep up the good work SteelSticks 64!

    I ordered two bowls and used one with near-mint OEM gears and stick, and the other with new Kitsch-Bent gears and stick.

    OEM: No work had to be done with OEM parts. Just grease everything and assemble. Works perfectly.

    Kitsch-Bent: Had to trim and sand the gears a lot to prevent scratching due to the flashing left on them. Stick needed a little trimming. Once adjusted, everything felt the same as OEM.

    The bowls themselves were perfect so just keep the above in mind depending on what parts you’re using.
